Tifenn Humbert is a Public Health Pharmacist with more than fifteen years of experience in procurement and supply chain management (PSM), health system strengthening, health logistics and procurement of medicines. She joined WHO in 2012 as Procurement Officer at the WHO Global Services Center in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) where she was responsible of the global procurement of medical items for WHO emergency responses, as the vaccines emergency stockpiles for cholera and meningitis, the emergency health kits etc.
Since April 2016, she has been working in the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen, in the Health Technologies and Pharmaceuticals (HTP), Division of Health Systems and Public Health (DSP). Her work focuses on provide technical support to the countries in the region in the area of Strategic Procurement for medicines. She was involved in the publication of the WHO report Challenges and opportunities in improving access to medicines through efficient public procurement in the WHO European Region (2016). She has a Master in Public Health in Developing countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicines (LSHTM).
Before working with WHO, she was working with UNICEF (Regional Office for West and Central Africa in Dakar, Senegal as HIV/AIDS Program Officer to assess the availability of ARVs medicines in the region; with UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen, Denmark to procure ARVs medicines and vaccines). She also worked in emergency projects with medical NGOs (Medecins Sans Frontieres) in Kosovo and in different African countries in the area of health logistics, capacity building and procurement.
