Prof Athena Linos studied Medicine (University of Athens Medical School, MD degree) and Public Health (Harvard School of Public Health, MPH). She holds a PhD and a Professorial degree from the University of Athens Medical School in the field of Epidemiology.

Over the years, Prof Linos has held various long-term academic positions and has taught courses on Epidemiology, Preventive Medicine and Occupational Health at the Mayo Medical School, the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and Case Western Reserve University. In 2004, she was appointed Professor at the University of Athens Medical School. Since 2004 she is President of the Steering Committee of the Postgraduate Program “Environmental, Occupational and Pharmaceutical Risk Assessment and Management”. From November 2014 to December 2017 she served as Chair of the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics.

Prof Linos has participated in numerous national and European Committees and Councils regarding public health and occupational health and safety. She has also served as the Vice President of the Greek Regulatory Agency for Medicines and as President of the Committee for the Prices of Medicinal Products, Ministry of Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping. She has been appointed as Special Secretary on Educational Planning, Education of Greek students abroad, Intercultural Education and Decentralization, Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports (7/2011- 10/2013).

At European level, Prof. Linos was a member of the Expert Committee on the European Forum on Forward Looking Activities (EFLA) (DG Research and Innovation Policy) and also served as a member of the "Research, Innovation, and Science Policy Experts" (RISE) high level committee (DG Research and Innovation Policy). Moreover, she was on the School Fruit Scheme (DG Agriculture and Rural Development) of the European Commission and participated in the Jury Committee for the EU PRIZE for Women Innovators 2014.

Prof. Linos is the founder and President of the Prolepsis Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health, which has recently developed targeted humanitarian action and public health interventions for over twenty years.

Her scientific interests include epidemiology and prevention of chronic occupational and environmental diseases. Nutrition and prevention of obesity have also been among her primary research interests. Moreover, as the scientific coordinator of several other European projects, she has studied and worked on the issues of equal education and training opportunities for women and men health professionals, as well as health promotion for working women.

Author and editor of many Greek and English textbooks on public health, Prof Linos has also published extensively in international and Greek peer-reviewed journals and participated in numerous conferences.

Sara Burke Dr Sara Burke is a health policy analyst, working as a research fellow in the Centre for Health Policy and Management, in the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin. She co-ordinates an Irish Health Research Board funded project called 'Mapping the pathways to universal healthcare'.
Didier Duret Didier Duret joined in 1998, leading the Discretionary Portfolio Management Department, subsequently becoming Head of Financial Products and European Head of Product Development, before being appointed CIO. He held senior positions in investment management at UBS and Paribas, both in Switzerland.
Maurice Galla Maurice Galla is senior policy officer in the Directorate for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Technology at the Netherlands Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports. His primary tasks involve EU cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical affairs and legislation.
Othon Iliopoulos Professor Othon Iliopoulos graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. He completed a Residency and Chief Residency at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School.
Gaetan Lafortune Gaétan Lafortune is a Senior Economist in the OECD Health Division. He is responsible for the development of the OECD health database, which provides a wide range of statistics on health and health systems across the 35 OECD member countries.
Yannis Natsis Yannis Natsis is a Board Member of the European Health Forum Gastein. He currently leads the advocacy for better and affordable medicines at the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA).
Dimitra Panteli Dimitra Panteli, M.D., M.Sc.P.H., Dr.P.H., is a 2016-17 German Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice. She is currently a research fellow at the Department of Health Care Management at Berlin University of Technology, a role she has held for the past six years.
Dr. Rui Santos Ivo Dr. Rui Santos Ivo is President of the Central Administration of the Health System, IP (ACSS, I.P.), of the Ministry of Health. Since November 2011, he has been vice-president of ACSS, I.P. responsible for the areas of human resources, management of the health resources network, information systems in the health sector and the licensing of health units and monitoring of the use of medicines in hospitals, as well as the area of ​​the Conference Center Invoices.
